Citizen Cain are a trio from England playing classic prog rock in a style ranging from the Eighties till now, releasing five albums to date. This album will remind everyone of the classic Genesis works of the Gabriel era because of the evident derivations from the English prog masters. In fact, if you start to listen to this album, the first idea you'll have is a nostalgic return to the past. Cyrus' voice, who is also the bass player of the group, is very very similar to Gabriel's in the Seventies, because now Peter Gabriel doesn't sing this way anymore. The other players are very good like Stewart Bell, expert drummer and a fair keyboardist, more able in playing the drumkit, perhaps, than the keyboards, but I've never noticed a man who plays these both instruments at the same time as well.
If they were able to go away from the dependence from the first Genesis era, they could be a great band, because the songwriting is quiet good and the pieces are very interesting and complicated.
So Genesis fans will certainly like this work, I'm sure of this fact.
