Porcupine Tree will tour the US in September and Europe in October, in support of their upcoming new album, which the band report that they are "currently in the studio finishing recording on their followup to 2007?s critically-acclaimed Fear Of A Blank Planet. The album is scheduled for release in September 2009."

Plus, "[t]he band are happy to announce that it has expanded its successful relationship with Roadrunner Records to now include the United States, Canada, and Mexico."

Meanwhile, you can explore further with several solo releases from the band:

Gavin Harrison - Circles, Gavin's highly anticipated new album with 05Ric, can be ordered as a CD or digital download (FLAC / mp3) from Burning Shed. This is their second collaboration - picking up from where Drop left off. 10 new songs featuring Ric's amazing extended range bass and haunting vocals - along with Gavin's mind bending rhythmic designs and unique expression on the drums.

Colin Edwin - Colin's debut solo release Third Vessel is available now from Burning Shed. Almost an hour long, the album is a mixture of both narratives set to music and instrumentals, which weave together the themes of spirituality, communication and dreamstates. Packaged in a mini gatefold sleeve with a vinyl effect CD, with a cover image by photographer Frans Janssen. For more information about the album and audio samples, please see the new microsite: www.thirdvessel.com.

Richard Barbieri - Richard's new solo album Stranger Inside was released by K Scope / Snapper Records in September. For all details including track lists, credits, music previews and a free MP3 download, visit the Stranger Inside microsite.

Steven Wilson - Steven's debut solo album Insurgentes was issued by KScope in March, and is available from the KScope store as a 2 disc set with a stereo CD, and DVDA containing the album in higher resolution 24 bit stereo and 5.1 surround sound (in high res DVDA and DTS version compatible with any DVD player), an 18 minute extract from "Insurgentes" film, and 2 album trailers. It's also as a available double vinyl LP. Finally, there are still a small number of copies of the Harmony Korine 7 inch single, as well as Insurgentes t-shirts, prints and posters.

There is a double vinyl version of the recent album by SW's Bass Communion project Molotov And Haze available from his own mail order company Headphone Dust. Each of the 4 tracks from the original CD occupies one side, but 2 of the tracks are extended versions - the set is pressed on 180 gram black vinyl, and housed in a thick gatefold sleeve. In addition the first edition of 500 numbered copies includes an exclusive 10 inch vinyl of the Haze Shrapnel CD EP in its own picture sleeve.
