Posted on Monday, August 31 @ 06:39:36 UTC by nightowl

ProgDay is pleased to announce the addition of Edensong and Jimmy Robinson to our lineup.

Edensong is a symphonic band from New York who are just coming off of a very successful appearance at the 3RP festival in Pittsburgh. Edensong's most recent release, The Fruit Fallen, has received rave reviews in the prog community and appeared on many top ten lists for 2008. The band plays lush progressive rock with soaring vocals, and augment their traditional rock instrumentation with cello and flute.

Jimmy Robinson is perhaps best known as the founder and guitarist of New Orleans progressive rock stalwarts Woodenhead, and as one of the three guitar virtuosos in Twangorama. Jimmy will be performing a special solo set at ProgDay that will be sure to please the guitar aficionados in the audience.

ProgDay is the world's longest running progressive rock event. The 15th edition will take place on September 5th & 6th, 2009, at beautiful Storybook Farm near Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Edensong and Jimmy Robinson join La Maschera Di Cera (Italy), Ozric Tentacles (UK), Qui (Japan), French TV (USA), 3rdegree (USA), Brave (USA) and Deluge Grander (USA), for another great weekend of the best in progressive music!
