Iona write: "Christmas greetings from the Iona/Open SKy Records office! Time has flown recently in Iona-world and the office has been very busy processing your many CD/DVD orders in time for Christmas [...] The free Best of Iona CD offer is now ended as we have run out of Best of cds - we appreciate all the orders that have come in over the past few weeks (and so does our local village post office outreach service!). We have lots more gigs now confirmed for 2012 with more to be added soon [...] and in a few days time the band will be playing their first ever gig in Sweden! So grab a drink and a mice pie and read on....
"Don't forget to tune into our friend Stephan Gluck's 2 hour "Iona Boxing Day Special" at 9pm (German time, i.e., one hour later than UK time [and in the US, 1pm Pac/4pm Est]) on Monday [December 26]! "Some Sad News, And Your Support Needed: A few weeks ago Don and Lynne Hart (friends of Dave and Debbie Bainbridge and also Iona fans) contacted us with the awful news that their 17 year old son Dave Hart had commited suicide. Understandably Don and Lynne and their family and Dave's friends are devastated and our hearts and prayers go out to them. They are keen to raise awareness of the issues surrounding teenage suicide and also to raise money for a great organisation that works in this area called Papyrus-UK - Prevention of Young Suicide (see www.papyrus-uk.org). To this end they have released a song that their son Dave wrote with his friend Jake Allen, called 'Home.' The track is available to download for only 69 pence from Amazon or 79 pence from iTunes. Please help to support our friends in this terrible time for them. It will be incredibly appreciated.
