So... here we are once more... playing catchup...again... (with some items there were stuck in a queue).

In release news, aside from those we've featured in their own right, there a few that we were "tipped" to by Laser's Edge's newsletter from February ({sigh}, yes Feburary) posting about what's new in their store, which includes these releases):

The prog band Votum just released the music video for "Satellite" the opening track from their upcoming album :KTONIK: . The video was directed by Pascal Pawliszewski. :KTONIK: was released this past Friday, February 26, through Inner Wound Recordings.

Votum toured Europe with Kingcrow in March. More dates will be announced soon.

The progressive metal band Sunburst just released a music video for the track "Out Of The World" online. Their highly anticipated debut album Fragments Of Creation was released on February 26th in Europe and North America through Inner Wound Recordings.

Also from Inner Wound Recordings: Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce the signing of the progressive metal band Universal Mind Project to the label. Their highly anticipated debut album The Jaguar Priest will be released on April 29th in Europe and North America.

Universal Mind Project is:

Elina Laivera - Vocals
Henrik Bath [Darkwater] - Vocals
Michael Alexander - Guitars, Growls
Alex Landenburg [Luca Turilli's Rhapsody] - Drums

In a mix of perfectly executed modern progressive/power metal combined with the unique diversity of male and female vocals that stylistically spread from lyrical and fragile to soothing and powerful, as well as the use of growl vocals at parts of the record, the debut album The Jaguar Priest encloses a most impressive league of artistic creation.

Apart from Elina Laivera and Henrik Bath, the album also includes vocal performances by Nils K Rue [Pagan's Mind], Mark Jansen [Epica, Mayan], Charlie Dominici [ex. Dream Theater] and Diego Valdez [Helker] -forming an incredibly powerful team of vocalists, each of whom add their own distinctive style to the songs.
