Seven The Hardway, the new Southern California-based progressive rock/metal band featuring guitar virtuoso Tony MacAlpine (Steve Vai, Planet X, CAB), legendary drummer Virgil Donati (Planet X, Steve Vai, Soul Sirkus), renowned vocalist Mark Boals (Uli Jon Roth, Royal Hunt, Yngqie Malmsteen), bass player Doug Shreeve and 21-year-old Argentinian newcomer Stefania Daniel on guitar, has canceled its previously announced European tour. The groups states, "Due to the delayed release of the [Seven The Hardway self-titled debut] album (August instead of April) and the booking of the tour immediately following European summer vacation, there has not been adequate opportunity to properly promote the record or the tour." The band adds, ""We plan to re-book in the future, once the new album has had a chance to be heard by our fans."

Seven The Hardway was released on August 23 in Europe via Mascot Records. Due in the USA on September 14, the CD was mixed by Roy Z. (Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Judas Priest, Helloween) and was mastered by Maor Appelbaum.



According to a press release, Seven The Hardway's live show will consist of tracks from the new album, along with well-known selections from MacAlpine's and Donati's solo work, and their previous band project with Boals ? Ring Of Fire. The performance will appeal to both followers of MacAlpine, Donati and Boals' previous collaborations and solo work, as well as drum and guitar enthusiasts and fans of progressive hard rock and metal.
