Symakya is a French symphonic metal band that began in 2009 at the initiative of Matthew Morand (guitar / Elvaron, Akroma), Kevin Kazeki (vocals / Seyminhol) and Thomas Das Neves (drums / Heavenly). These three musicians have decided to invest heart and soul into this new project [Majestic 12: Open Files] which combines power, melody, energy and a faultless technique.

The concept theme [explores...] events in the extra-terrestrial [realm, and h]istory, supported by extensive literature searches. [Majestic 12 was a secret government project -- real or imagined -- seeking to confirm (hide? both?) the existence of extra-terrestial life on earth... -ed.*]

*if anyone remembers short-lived US TV series in the late 90s called Dark Skies, Majestic 12 was at center of this show. It featured a pre-Without A Trace Eric Close and a pre-Voyager Jeri Ryan, among others... This is mere anecdote, there's no connection between the show and album, other than reference to Majestic 12... -ed.
