Having announced the return of original guitarist Christopher Amott, Arch Enemy have now commenced the recording process for the much anticipated follow-up to 2005's Doomsday Machine, the band's most successful album to date. They have once again enlisted the duties of acclaimed producer Fredrik Nordstr?m (Dimmu Borgir, In Flames) at Sweden's Studio Fredman, where the band recorded all of their albums through Wages Of Sin (2001).

Daniel Erlandsson (drums) checks in with an update on the recording process:

"The new songs sound very fresh and diverse. Some songs are faster and more extreme than before, while some songs are very heavy and melodic - but they all have the ARCH ENEMY imprint in capital letters! I have no doubt that these songs will please those who like to bang their heads to the sound of pure fucking metal!"
