A couple of Isildurs Bane items to share, as posted to their newsletter: Firstly, "IB [will be performing] the music for Theatre Halland's performances of Brecht & Weill's The Threepenny Opera. Following a preview performance, the play got the thumbs up, especially the music. One reviewer said that the interpretation of Weill's compositions were very well done, but what was even better was that IB identity came through.

"Now you can see and hear this special 21st century take on The Threepenny Opera in Varberg, Sweden. It will be performed between June 27 and July 1, and then between July 11 and July 15. Later this year, there will be performances in other parts of Sweden. More information at Theatre Hallands website: www.teaterhalland.se/

"Tickets are available by phoning either the tourist agency of Varberg 0340 868 00 or to the theatre association 0340 809 20. If you are phoning from abroad, don't forget to dial the country code for Sweden first."

Regarding a new IB album, and E-Cow's Blue Enigma: }[...] Blue Enigma will be released later this year, probably during the autumn. The album has been almost finished for some time now, but other projects have come in the way. At present, Blue Enigma is awaiting the finishing touches, mastering and a suitable release date.

[New IB Album:] "[...H]ere's what Mats Johansson has to say on the matter: 'Many people have asked me about when there will be a new IB release, but I haven't been able to answer that question until now really. I have had ideas for a new IB album based on IB's new ways of working for some time now, and finally I have understood how such an album can become reality.

"'The new IB album will be very special and recordings for the album will commence in mid-July. Expect international musicians and surprising settings on this album. More information in our newsletters of course. All I can say now is that we are looking at a trilogy with the first part being released next year. We move on!'"
