Overkill (US), Immolation (US), Vader (PL), and Dillinger Escape Plan (US) confirmed their performances on the main stage during Metalmania Festival 2008! The 22nd edition of the Festival - the biggest metal fest in Central-Eastern Europe - will take place on 8th March 2008 in Spodek Hall in Katowice, Poland.

Overkill: The alpha and the omega of thrash metal. With a career spanning over two decades and 14 full-length albums, Overkill has remained a constant in the metal genre it helped define. The self-proclaimed "Wrecking Crew" released a handful of albums on quintessential metal label Megaforce Records in the early '80s. As label mates with such bands as Metallica and Anthrax, Overkill became part of the birth of the East Coast thrash metal scene. Overkill has endlessly toured the globe hitting most every music venue and participated in all of the heavy European festivals. Gaining legions of metal fans wherever they travel, the band has conquered the globe, from the Far East to South America. Overkill has shared the stage with metal icons new and old. Overkill unleashed its 15th studio album, Immortalis, on 9th October 2007. There are few names as well respected as Overkill, and with the resurgence of metal in the music world, this band is poised to return to the top. Overkill is ready to show old metal heads they still have it and to teach the new schoolers exactly how it's done.

Immolation: Some bands make their mark and quickly fizzle out. Immolation is not one of those bands. Originally called Rigor Mortis, the band was unexpectedly born amidst the relatively peaceful environs of Yonkers, New York. Little did the city know a small, but mighty group of restless teens would emerge from its epicenter to help create the most brutal sound the world would ever hear. The group quickly changed their name before releasing their second demo in 1988. Demo 1 caught the eye of Roadrunner Records, with whom they released one of the best debut albums in metal history, Dawn Of Possession. The album was rife with the technical, dual-guitar riffing that has come to define the band's sound and separate Immolation from its followers. Since the release of their debut, Immolation has made an organic move toward incorporating more groove while retaining complex arrangements, down-tuned guitar duels and hellish vocals. Improving on the foundation of technical, neck-snapping death metal that they helped build beginning in the late 1980s, Immolation lumber forth with the seventh chapter in their legendary career, Shadows In The Light. The group recorded their latest collection of deathly dirges within the hallowed halls of Millbrook Sound Studios, once home to such diverse acts as Anthrax, Zakk Wylde and Twisted Sister. With tracks like "Deliverer Of Evil," "Lying With Demons" and "Whispering Death," listeners can expect no less than top form. Long known for its ability to develop and grow with each release, Immolation more than lives up to its reputation as death metal's most reliable band, having never released anything close to mediocre in their storied career. Not only is Shadows In The Light a perfect example of the group's continued growth, but it may also be their most complete sounding album ever with 10 unique, hard-hitting tracks.

Vader: Vader was the first death metal band from behind the Iron Curtain to succeed on the world's most important music markets. Their Morbid Reich demo from 1990 is considered the best selling demo tape in the history of death metal. In their career, Vader did a great number of tours, made lots of festival appearances and played gigs with top metal bands such as Bolt Thrower, Deicide, Metallica, Krisiun, Malevolent Creation, Slayer, Samael, Anathema, Testament, Marduk, Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Vital Remains, and Kreator, to mention only a few? In October 2007 Vader released a live DVD And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw. DVD features the footage from the band's fantastic concert at Stodola Club in February 2007, which was the final stop of the tour promoting their latest album Impressions In Blood. You can expect ca. 100 min. of brutal, fast, uncompromising death metal! Year 2008 marks the 25th anniversary of Vader's existence. Expect some special events & releases!

Dillinger Escape Plan: The Dillinger Escape Plan - US metalcore band known for their speed, technical proficiency of their music and the intensity of their live shows. The band's music belongs to the subgenre of metalcore called mathcore, which uses discordant, technical riffing, complex time signatures as well as extended song structure.

They've released three studio albums so far: Calculating Infinity (1999), Miss Machine (2004) and Ire Works (November 2007). The newest album was produced by Steve Evetts (Saves The Day, Earth Crisis, Sepultura) and features the drumming of Stolen Babies' Gil Sharone. Fans of metal, hardcore & futuristic progressive music won't be disappointed!
