A blend of space rock atmospheres, bone crunching guitar riffs, and eerie violin lines help to formulate the sound of Indukti. The violin often creates a hypnotic middle eastern flavor, and other times the metal influence rages in the guitars and heavy rhythm section. Both areas are well balanced throughout the disc, never leaning too much in one direction. The elongated feedback at the end of "?And Weak II" is great, easing you out of the CD as it flows into the harp section that opened the disc. The music is dark, complex, intense, and rocking, keeping your attention at its peak. The bands music is mostly instrumental, but a few excellent contributions from Riverside vocalist Mariusz Dada give an added flavor, this is a positive collaboration that hopefully will continue in the future.

The violin is surprisingly effective during the heavier moments; hmmm, violin and metal, who would have thunk it? The harp is used sparingly but with great effect on the disc as well. The ambient introduction to "No.11812" is a perfect example of how the band does not only rely on its powerful guitars. They create a wonderful soundscape before bringing the whole band in. The acoustic guitar lines also blend in very well with the heavily distorted crunching guitar. General doses of feedback are also featured, and the guitars make there mark more heavily with rhythm playing than lead work. As stated by the label?s packaging, you can hear the King Crimson influence combined with more modern heavy bands such as Tool. I really like how the band creates beautiful stark sonic moments, and then proceed to knock you out with some very heavy riffing but it all meshes so easily. Indukti's S.U.S.A.R is a powerful and mesmerizing listen from start to finish.
