To all people that don't remember him. Matthew Parmenter is the leader of the American group Discipline, that created a great album in the nineties like Unfolded Like A Staircase.

On this album Parmenter plays all instruments (including guitars and drums, adding to keys, violin and sax), and performs mature and elegant pieces like "Now," "Distracted" and "Dirty Mind" with Peter Hammill, who is a sort of spectre along the whole album. These tracks seem, and it is hard to admit, to sometimes lack of a kind of feeling that we would like to find.

However, to mention some influences, you can imagine that the main one is Van Der Graaf Generator, and it is possible to hear King Crimson of the first period in "Another Vision."

I suggest this album to all Discipline and VDGG fans.
