Clive Nolan is probably one of the busiest men in the progressive music world. Just some names of bands and projects he is or has been involved with: Strangers On A Train, Shadowland, Pendragon, Arena, Nolan & Wakeman and Neo. And since 2005 he has been working on yet another project: Caamora. This time he joined forces with the Polish singer Agnieszka Swita, to work on a grand project: the rock opera She. This release is set for 2008, but the two are so enthusiastic about the project, they can't keep it to themselves and have already been taking their work on the road. And as appetizers, they have released two EPs: Closer in 2006 and this year, Walk On Water.

Walk On Water features two songs that will be on the upcoming She album: "Shadows" and "Invisible." The two other tracks were written especially for this release.

So, what can we expect? Honestly speaking, nothing shocking. Excellent songs, musically comparable to his Shadowland sound, but with the added years of experience present. The vocals are excellent, reminding me a bit of the solo album by Strangers On A Train and Landmarq singer Tracy Hitchings, although I do prefer Agnieszka's vocals. I looked on the Internet to find out more about her, but unfortunately all I found were articles related to the Caamora project. Nevertheless, she is a fabulous singer.

The "guest" musicians really help Clive to bring the music to life and the result is an EP that is simply way too short. Just 17 minutes and it leaves you wanting more...Unless you are in the lucky position to either catch them on the road or see the grand premier of the rock opera in late October, you'll have to be patient. But given the beauty of these songs, that is going to be tough...
