Onomatopea refers to more than just this group's name. While it is a unique name for a musical unit, it sheds some light upon who these people are and what their message is. Andy Pietropaolo and Delia Lyn liked the meaning of the word Onomatopea, which originated in Greece and meant - "Imitating the sounds of life." Music is a universal language that does just that.

Pietropaolo and Lyn make an elegant combination of jazz, fusion, pop, and world sounds. Lyn is a songbird in the mold of Flora Purim; she has the voice of an angel. Her beautiful pure vocalizations give the layers of music a charm and sophistication that has become a tradition and expectation in the dominion of jazz. While they both play several instruments, it is Andy's bass that leads the way for everything else that is so perfectly balanced in the layers of musical paradise that they create. Even though it is one hour of music that they offer on this CD it seems to last much longer. There is so much profundity and complexity in their arrangements; it really is amazing how two people managed to put together something so intricate. It sounds as if there are five or six people playing rather than two.

In a world of full of war and unsettling events, it is comforting to find a place of solace and spirituality. Music like this warms my heart and renews my soul. Its not just music, it is an experience that offers healing and an opportunity to go inside ourselves ... where we rarely go because of our daily distractions. I knew that I had to be alone to concentrate and really hear this music for all that it is worth. I suggest you do the same then share it with those you love. Music truly does come from heaven.
