What more can be said about the legendary Beach Boy Brian Wilson? His legacy has carried over from decade to decade, gathering more strength and validity with the passing of each year. Now Wilson is actively recording and touring as he did in his Beach Boy years and musicians and fans worldwide are absolutely thrilled about it, and so is Brian. He is so lucid and genuinely happy performing with his band. It is obvious watching Wilson click with the band, also known as The Wondermints, that he discovered a perfect match to fit his vision and concept of presenting his music. This DVD is Brian On Tour enjoying some of his best moments.

The things other artists say about him is so touching, everyone feels so much love and respect for this man and his music. I really got all of those feelings strongly while listening to all the interviews. Listening to all of this great music had me going from joy and elation to sadness and despair all in one song. That is the power of Wilson's music. At one point during a sound check for ?Good Vibrations,? Brian commented that the band was better than the Beach Boys, which I was surprised to hear him say. I understood exactly where he was coming from once I heard the goose bump version of ?Good Vibrations? live, it was incredibly moving and done to perfection. ?Lay Down Burden? was similarly touching. He dedicated the song to the passing of his brothers Dennis and Carl. You could see the pain and sorrow in Brian's eyes, yet he made it through that number with his typical grace and professionalism. ?God Only Knows? was heartrending and beautiful as well. All of the songs are great and Brian and his band do a superb job of getting the original intent and feeling of the music across to their audience fabulously. Quite a few popular artists show up to visit Brian backstage and join him onstage for a few of the songs.

The behind the scenes footage was a great addition to all the concert action and the interviews with Brian were fascinating. The man has been through so much in his life, and has overcome some very difficult problems and is still alive to tell about it all. The music lives on and so does Brian Wilson, thank you lord.

This is the complete music package all wrapped up into a shiny little metal and plastic disc. The wonders of technology are within your grasp now every day, bringing you a legend right into your living room at the touch of a button. Life is good and it is all that much memorable and full because of people like Brian Wilson and his timeless music. I really cannot add anything else, except that if you are a fan of music you need to see this DVD.
