After two studio albums, Earthbound and Brutal Architecture, America based Rocket Scientists show proof that the band is able to deliver a decent live show by means of the recording Earth Below And Sky Above. Most of the material stems from the aforementioned studio albums, but it's especially the songs "Avalon" and "Stardust," sung here by Lana Lane, which get an extra dimension. Norlander gets a solo spot by means of a medley from his own solo album Threshold, but it's mainly the sound of the entire band (although with the biggest spotlight above Erik's head!) which guarantees a very nice sound. The "drive" of the four piece Norlander/Amato/McCrite/Schiff is somewhat in the same league as Spock's Beard, whilst influences from the Iluvatar camp can also be heard. The collective is also very productive because next to Rocket Scientists these guys are also the backing band for Lana Lane.
