MARILLION, HOUSE OF BLUES - LOS ANGELES, WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA, SEPTEMBER 27, 2004

Not a sequencial retelling of the night in photos, but just documents of moments...

Marillion live - Steve Hogarth
Of the shots that Tom Karr and I (Stephanie) took, this has been my favorite. Not just 'cuz I took it, of course, but because it came out so clear and really shows the emotion that H brings to a performance.

This shot by Tom was captured during their performance of "An Invisible Man," which opened the set (these two are out of sequence, as you can tell by the absence or presence of H's tie)

Marillion Live - Pete Trewavas (photo: Stephanie Sollow)
This was taken 3 minutes or so into the set, and the lights were rather dark as H hadn't yet made an appearance. I think it's one of those "not great, but there's something neat about it" kind of shots of Pete Trewavas.

Marillion live - Rothery (photo: Stephanie Sollow)
If you know me, you know I love Steve Rothery as a guitarist; so not only was I thrilled to hear my favorite soloist playing my favorite solos, but I was able to catch him doing it, too!

And Rothery again, with Mark Kelly in the background

And Tom's shot of Rothery.

H again, in another shot I liked and liked the way it came out.

Some other shots that help document that night:

Marillion live - Ian Mosley and H
Believe it or not, this was the best shot either of us got of drummer Ian Mosley ... and even then he's partially obscured by a cymbal.
