The Royal Ghost: It all started in 2005 when composer Teddy Jonasson made up a story together with his two daughters for a ?family musical? with 5-6 songs. In September 2006 he started working with the music and after writing 15 songs. some people in the music business came and listened to the stuff. They were really impressed and told him to finish the work of the opera, so Teddy kept on working. The music took him 14 months to finish, and the he wrote the lyrics for another 6 months. All together it?s 29 songs and a total playing time of 1h 45 min.

Together with producer Bengt Hilding he then started to get musicians and singers to the set. After this process, Bengt worked with them in the rehersals to create the right majestic sound, and in May 2009 the first appetizer concert was played. The success was huge and the people who were there went completely crazy.

Two months later the free lance conductor Ulf Wadenbrandt got in contact with Teddy and asked if they could do a recording together with the famous Swedish symphony orchestra Dalasinfoniettan, and so they did. In October they started their collaboration and it can be heard on 6 tracks on the CD. The second appetizer concert was played in December and the reactions was much the same as after the first concert.

Now the self confidence has grown and it?s time for The Royal Ghost to hit bigger stages. Plans for presenting the complete show in theatres are made. A smaller tour version is planned, and an acoustic version for smaller scenes also has been planned. All during this process, Teddy?s been working on their MySpace page a lot, and the reviews from listeners all over the world are overwhelming. Many of them asking when the tour will come to their town. Teddy?s already been asked to make a new rock opera and bands are asking for help making arrangements for their songs or even ask for new written songs. He is a rising name in the rock scenes.

A newspaper wrote about The Royal Ghost as the rock version of Phantom Of The Opera. And very much that is what this is all about. Creating a real rock opera with influnces from melodic metal-classical music-opera-folk music, with a good story together with it.

The music is composed by Teddy Jonasson, a new, interesting songwriter. Together with very talented musicians and with the help of majestic producer Bengt Hilding, they have come up with something new and fresh, with a very original sound! The songs in the opera come from different genres within rock music, and to somewhat show the depth in the music, 6 different lead singers with different characters have been used. Musically the vibe runs from very soft ballads to har drock, with ingredients of folk/classic, and opera/singer-songwriter to old school heavy blues rock.

The story takes part in an old castle where the ghost and princess become friends to eveyone's despair. A revolt breaks out between the people and the ghosts. You can imagine the story as a tale of the difficulties we are exposed to in our modern world. The Royal Ghost rock opera has been shown in two shortened concert versions, and the response from public has been overwhelming. Even on My Space the response has been fantastic, and critics and listeners have given thumbs up from all over the world. The full version Rock Opera consists of 29 songs and a running time of 1 hour 45 minutes.
