On September 17, ProgPower Europe shared the following: "Unfortunately Aspera had to cancel their performance at ProgPower Europe this year. The band has send us the following statement:

"Aspera to cancel Prog Power Europe.
It is with great regret, that Norwegian 5 piece Aspera have to cancel their performance at Prog Power Europe on 3rd October. The band has been really looking forward to playing for the first time in the Netherlands, especially after the overwhelming feedback of debut album Ripples, that was released via InsideOut Music earlier this year.

"Unfortunately there are sometimes developments in a bands life that are neither planned, not foreseeable. And although we tried to accommodate this along the festival performance, we were not able to work it out. But don?t worry, it will be some exciting news and we will update you very shortly. We would like to apologize to the festival organiser, who gave us the opportunity to be part of this prestigious Prog Metal Festival. And we also want to thank all our supporters that were looking forward to our performances and hope you will have a great time with great bands! We hope to see you all on the road in the near future. In the meantime, stay tuned for further announcements.

"We respect the band?s decission and we hope to be able to book them sometime in the near future.

"As a replacement we booked Day Six from The Netherlands, a very talented band that already played ProgPower Europe before. Check out details of Day Six [at the ProgPower site].

"Nothing has changed in the time schedule, Day Six simply replaces Aspera."
