Well, we're late to the dance on thsi one, even though the dance is still going on. Roger Dean, the Sussex based internationally renowned Artist, whose work graced the covers of the most iconic Rock Albums of the 1970s & ‘80s (including Yes, Asia, Osibisa, Uriah Heep, Greenslade) not to say many a bedroom wall, has launched a limited edition of 4 new prints to tie in with the exhibition of his work being held at Trading Boundaries, Sheffield Green, East Sussex[, which runs through November 7].

Three of the prints feature new work, including an etching of the Yes dragon logo, designed for their latest album, Fly From Here – their first in 10 years released in July this year. They will be sold alongside 36 of the Boxed set ‘special editions’ of the album (including LP in vinyl form) and one page from the sketchbook Roger used when working on the album artwork.

The second print, "Demons & Wizards" is a reworking of the waterfall & the wizard design that graced the sleeve of the multi-platinum 1972 Uriah Heep album of that name.

The Roger Dean Exhibition will run to 7th November 2011 and features some of Roger’s best known work as well as new work [...]. Roger Dean is a Sussex-based internationally acclaimed artist and designer, whose evocative and visionary images and associated graphics, logos and lettering created a new genre of work. Made popular through the media of album covers and posters his work has sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide.

With his brother Martyn, he set up and successfully run his own publishing company – Dragons Dream. Under this imprint he published the books Views and Magnetic Storm. Views went straight to Number One in the Best Seller lists, going on to sell well over a million copies.

And he continues to add to his prodigious output. Most recently, Roger created the cover for the first Yes album for 10 years – Fly From Here, refreshing the famous "Yes" bubble logo in the progress. He is also currently working on the cover for the forthcoming album from legendary Dutch prog-rockers, Focus, who [were] due to perform at Trading Boundaries on 3rd November.
