North American syndicated Rock radio show "InTheStudio: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands" explores the release of the Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here “Immersion” five-disc box set with interviews from David Gilmour, Nick Mason and former member and band co-founder Roger Waters.

As the follow-up to the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here would be more intense, more melancholy, more cynical with a loosely veiled thematic album dedicated to former bandmate Syd Barrett. And while the band started to feel the friction of success, no one can dispute the impact this album has had on generations of music fans (over 13 million copies sold), including David Gilmour who weighs in on his feelings for Wish You Were Here with show host Redbeard.

“It was a very difficult period for us, I have to say . All your childhood dreams had been realized with the biggest-selling record in the world (with Dark Side...) Everything had come our way and you had to reassess what you were in it for thereafter and it was pretty confusing and empty time for awhile. I would say that it’s my favorite album... it’s an album that I can live with very happily.”
