Hard to believe we are already in the year 2020! Are we going to look back? Well, hindsight is 2020. So, yes, probably, but not here, not now.

Looking ahead to what 2020 will bring us in terms of new or reissued music, although we have the "facts" all listed in our "Release Calendar," because we get more info and quotes and such about these new releases, we wanted to pass along the "salient bits," as it were.

Let's start with The Neal Morse Band, who will release a live album on March 6 called The Great Adventour - Live In Brno 2019." This will be the first release under their new contract with InsideOut Music, who had released his second solo album It's Not Too Late in 2002, and 2015's The Grand Experiment.

While most of Morse's solo and Neal Morse Band commercial releases were through Metal Blade (and, concurrently, his own Radiant Records label), he has a long association with InsideOut through Transatlantic, the "supergroup" featuring Morse, Marillion's Pete Trewavas, Mike Portnoy and The Flower Kings' Roine Stolt. For Morse's Jesus Christ The Exorcist release, which came out in June 2019, that was through Frontiers.

"The band and myself are super excited to be back with friends at InsideOut," Morse says. "They are great people and I'm sure it will be a fruitful relationship as it always has been." For his part, InsideOutMusic label-head Thomas Waber says, "There is obviously a lot of history between Neal and InsideOutMusic and we are ready to make more history with one of the most important prog artists of our generation!"

The Neal Morse Band is comprised of, aside from Morse of course (vocals, keyboards, guitars), Portnoy (drums, vocals), Randy George (bass), Bill Hubauer (keyboards, vocals), and Eric Gillette (guitars, vocals). The Great Adventure, the quintet's latest release came out earlier in 2019 that lead to a European tour. This new live release was recorded on that tour, capturing their show at the Sono Centrum in Brno, Czech Republic, where the band played the album in its entirety, closing with "The Great Medley," a, well, medley of tracks from both Morse's solo career as well from each of those under the Neal Morse Band moniker.

As George explains, "After the Similitude tour, expectations were really high, and we had more people coming to these shows than ever before. People were really excited to see it, so we had to make sure that we delivered.[...] The tour delivered every night. We never got tired of playing it, and it always paid off. [...] This was our first time playing in the Czech Republic and this venue had a different look and vibe: the audience also turned out to be very energetic. They loved it!"

The Great Adventour is available as a 2CD/2BR digipak which includes two tour documentaries from both the US and European tours as well as the official music videos for the singles taken from The Great Adventure.

Full Tracklisting: Intro / Overture / The Dream Isn’t Over / Welcome To The World / A Momentary Change / Dark Melody / I Got To Run / To The River / The Great Adventure / Venture In Black / Hey Ho Let’s Go / Beyond The Borders / Overture 2 / Long Ago / Child Of Wonder / The Dream Continues / Fighting With Destiny / Vanity Fair / Welcome To The World 2 / The Element Of Fear / The Great Despair / Freedom Calling / A Love That Never Dies / The Great Medley [Encore]
