CD/DVD Releases: ''In The Electric Castle'' Re-Released As 3LP Set On Coloured Vinyl

Posted on Saturday, August 20 @ 11:00:00 UTC by nightowl

"InsideOut has just released an exclusive collectors' edition of Ayreon's Into The Electric Castle on colored vinyl. It's a 3-LP set, and comes in a choice of 4 vinyl colors: white, gold, grey, or black.

"We have got a limited number of the white and gold editions for Arjen's web shop -- once they are gone, they are GONE.

"Head on over to the Arjen Lucassen store to place your order, while supplies last!"

The album is in a slipcase with a 3-panel gatefold, and each disc is enclosed in a paper cover (with lyrics and track info).

From InsideOut: "In 1998 Arjen A. Lucassen released the two-disc album Into The Electric Castle, an album presenting a sci-fi story set to music. [The story was told w]ith the help of some famous singers such as Edwin Balogh, Sharon den Adel, Jay van Feggelen and friendly instrumentalists this popular album arose."

We here at ProgressiveWorld.net have several reviews of this release (the CD edition, not these new vinyl editions)... one here, review by Larry "LarryD" Daglieri; one here, written by Keith "Muzikman" Hannaleck; and one here, written by ye ol' editor, Stephanie Sollow.

The 3LP set is 34.99 EUR for the black vinyl; 37.99 EUR for the grey, white and gold versions; and 38.99 for an autographed grey edition - all at InsideOut Music's shop. BUT, if you order the black, gold or white vinyl editions from Arjen Lucassen's store via the link above, it's 31.99 EUR (the grey is a IO exclusive). Plus, Arjen will sign them! (Personalized if requested, otherwise, just his name).
