For a woman with a voice such as the one possessed by ex-After Forever frontwoman Floor Jansen, talent can never rest.
With After Forever's dissolution in early 2009, Jansen decided to start over and re-connect with the public with a new band. To accomplish this, she joined forces with guitarist / composer / producer Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc., Enemy Of The Sun) and former After Forever keyboardist Joost van den Broek to form ReVamp. To crown this achievement, the band has also signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast.
States Jansen: "I am happy to announce this good news! Nuclear Blast has done many great things for After Forever and I am positive they can work their magic on ReVamp as well! It?s heartwarming how they stand behind me and my new band!"
Nuclear Blast Germany?s A&R Manager Jaap Wagemaker has this to say about the label?s newest signing: "We are stoked to announce that Floor Jansen - the voice of After Forever - has inked a deal for her new band ReVamp with the label. Floor has taken her time to find the right musicians for her new outfit and now she is ready to continue where she left of. After having heard ReVamp?s new material, Nuclear Blast was very impressed and offered Floor a new deal and to keep her in the family. So, for all the fans of Floor?s voice, the wait is over!"
The new music, recorded in January 2010, is now being mixed. Live, ReVamp will be joined by Jaap Melman on bass and Ruben Wijga on keyboards. To view the band?s line-up and a studio report on the vocal & drum recording sessions, visit the ReVamp website.
