I saw this bit of news earlier, but as there was nothing at the RPWL site at the time, I put down as unconfirmed rumour. But now it can be told, as they say. "Unfortunately we and our bass player Chris Postl will be parting ways due personal reasons," the band write. "We're feeling very sorry for having to go on without Chris, but we wish him - expecially for his solo project Parzivals Eye - all the best and hope that we will keep in touch.
"For the upcoming shows we were lucky enough to find and appropriate replacement with Werner Taus, who is an Austrian bass player and singer."
Those upcoming shows include a one today, Sep 12, at the Poppodium W2 in Den Bosch, NL (although it is now 3 am tomorrow already in the Netherlands) and October 2 at the Whittier Community Center in Whittier, CA, US for CalProg.
In related news, last month the band wrote, "We?re proud to announce that Yogi?s solo album is almost finished. Here are some lines from him about the album:
...Kalle and Chris have already been releasing their solo pieces. With my following album No Decoder, I will be providing the last mosaic piece to this special something that represents the RPWL sound. I?m very proud that I had a really great band in the studio for the recordings: Our good old friend Manni M?ller on drums, Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, Roxy Music) on bass guitar and Torsten Weber (The Doors of Perception) on guitars. Of course I also have lots of guests like for example Anne de Wolff (violin) and Domi (singer of Lazuli) and many others. Be excited, the album will be released on the 5th of November 2010."
