Lyrics For The Living is an instrumental album introduced to us by a very good trio formed by Rick Mals, Rob Perez and Rob Klan.

It is a jazzy composition, with a guitar oriented style and a fusion ground that is present in all of the parts of the work.

The guitar work by Rob Perez is the highlight of this disc: in fact all the album depends on his riffs and phrases, while the keyboards don't' make themselves evident in this work. So it can't be defined as a prog album because of its particular taste, but is well written and produced. Maybe hard prog fans won't like it, but it is a quite good CD.

The CD is divided into two parts: "Side 1" relating to the Psalms of King David; "Side 2," of the future, positing that we all live on forever in some form after death?-ed.
