Beacon Street Union was one of the many groups attempting to match the psychedelic rock sound that was popularized in San Francisco in the late sixties. The Boston sound never really made it, but along the way some good albums were made by groups like Beacon Street Union, Ultimate Spinach, and Eden's Children.

Many folks consider this to be a psychedelic-rock classic. You may or may not agree, dependent on your taste. I felt it was a very solid album combining all the essential elements such as the Middle Eastern influences, rock, distortion, fuzz, and echoing vocals.

This was by no means the Haight-Ashbury scene; nevertheless it was and still stands as a good period for rock and roll. 1967 was a good year for the Beacon Street Union and I think they did cut a classic psych LP.

The vinyl LP is housed in the colorful gatefold jacket with all the original artwork.
